Polishing Compounds

Description

Metal polishing compounds are solid, waxy bars or pastes embedded with fine abrasive grit. Used together with a spinning buffing wheel or cloth, they help remove scratches, smooth out rough areas, and bring out a bright shine on metal surfaces. Different colours are formulated for different metals and different stages of the polishing process — from initial cutting to final high-gloss finishing.

Applications

  • White Compound: Removes deep scratches from soft metals; used for final polishing and colouring on aluminum, brass, and chrome
  • Red Compound: Removes scratches and restores uniform finish on brass, copper, and aluminum articles/utensils; gentle enough for gold, silver, and other precious soft metals
  • Yellow Compound: Removes scratches and restores surface uniformity on brass, copper, and aluminum items
  • Green Compound: Dry compound used for final finishing on aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and other metals; typically used with medium or soft mops
  • Black Compound: Heavy-duty cutting compound for iron, steel, and stainless steel
  • Brown Compound: Fast-cutting compound for softer metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper
